My name is Mariana, I’m Argentinian, and I’m a teacher with more than 15 years of experience
I love learning, and this is why I decided to teach. It sounds strange, but it really isn’t: personally, I couldn’t learn with someone that doesn’t believe in what he/she does. I want you to discover how passionate communicating in a new language can be.
Apart from Spanish, which is my mother tongue, I speak English, Portuguese and some French. I am very familiar with the experience and the challenges of incorporating a new language.

In order to obtain more and better results, it is important that you make sense of the content, apply it and, overall, enjoy the process.
It may seem simple, I know. I also know that it is sometimes easy to lose motivation, and feel you are not making any progress. That’s why it is essential to set goals and challenges, have fun, work with interesting content and topics.
I believe that explanations are not always enough, and we need guide or someone that gives us a boost.
Each student is unique and has a particular personality, range of interests and way of learning. When we take this into account when planning classes, results are better and achieved in a lesser amount of time.
More about me
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I grew up in the countryside, and then in a city called Azul, which means ‘blue’ in Spanish. I lived several years in Buenos Aires. Now I live in Lisbon, Portugal.
I discovered the richness, the tones and subtleties of the Spanish language from my passion in reading and writing.
I studied to become a Professor of Language, Literature and Communication, and Proofreading, and I got my Master’s Degree in Creative Writing.
I love plants and outdoor lifestyle, as well as walking around the city, art, and neuroscience.
I am curious, and I see myself as an endless learner.
I don’t really enjoy horror movies, but I do love detective ones. I believe the feeling of understanding an audio, a text, being able to put a phrase together or develop ideas in another language is similar to solving a riddle or putting the pieces of a puzzle together and find out that, little by little, everything starts making sense and you can finally picture a clear image. Don’t you think?
