Method
They are one-on-one 60-minute meetings (student-teacher), via video call on Zoom. During that time, the student –supported and guided by the teacher– learns, practices, and develops new communication skills in Spanish.
The structure of an online class is similar to that of on-site class.
During the meeting, we can talk, share the screen (to watch videos, images, graphics, or solve interactive activities, etc.), listen to audios, read, learn grammar and vocabulary, solve exercises, play, and more.
In addition, we share one main document (your Spanish worksheet), which we may both see simultaneously and where you can complete activities, take notes, write new words, copy images, create tables, among other things.
All the available material will be inside a folder on Google Classroom, so you can check the material whenever you need to.
No, of course not. Classes are personalized according to the student and are available for all levels.
Ideally, in Spanish! Topics and contents are adapted to the level the student has of said language. But, in case it’s necessary to have a bridging language, we may also communicate in English, French, or Portuguese.
Online classes include the four main areas: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written expression and oral expression, with diverse activities. The class plan depends on the student’s interest and his/her learning goals.
If you prefer, you can also get prepared to take an international exam, such as SIELE or DELE. Or you may choose plans that are more focused on communication skills, to go on a trip or train to get a job.
That depends on you. I’ll offer the possibility to do homework and will recommend you content according to your level and objectives, so you can keep focused, practice and incorporate some Spanish during your free time. That will help you make progress faster and gain confidence. But one of the advantages of having private classes with a personalized plan is that the rhythm is adapted to the needs and availability of each student. So, you don’t need to complete extra activities if you don’t want to.
The classes last 60 minutes. But we may arrange other alternatives.
Material
The material for the classes and homework will be available inside a file on Google Classroom. You will receive a link upon payment, so that you may access the content any day, at any time.
No, the price of the classes includes the development and selection of the material and free-access to it.
Connection
You need Internet connection and a desktop or laptop. It could even be a tablet or a cellphone, if necessary. However, the first two options will be more comfortable for you to write and access the material during a video call, or to share the screen.
It’s important that the camera and microphone on the device are switched on to make the conversation natural and fluid.
I recommend the use of headphones or earphones, as well as a quiet place that allows for concentration.
Classes are taken through Zoom. Once the payment is made, you will receive a welcome e-mail with a link to access the video calls.
If you have never used Zoom before and don’t know how to, don’t worry: you’ll receive instructions on the welcome e-mail.
No. Zoom may be used without downloading anything. However, if you are regularly going to take classes using the same device, having the app downloaded could be practical.

Booking
Please, send a message using the contact form. I will answer to your questions and, if you have already decided to take classes, I will send you instructions to choose the timetables and make the payment. You will then receive an e-mail with the link to the classes via Zoom and to Google Classroom to access your material.
As many as you want! The number and frequency depend on your availability and your goals. You may book a 5 or 10-hour pack or pay for each class individually.

My availability changes based on my students and the classes I have booked per week. Please contact me to receive the link to the calendar and the available timetables, in your time zone, and choose the one that is most convenient for you.
It is important to check if we have suited timetables and to book the class before making any payment.
Once we have coordinated our schedule and frequency, you will receive an e-mail with the information to make a bank transfer. You can also choose to make the payment online through the Payoneer payment platform using your credit or debit card, based on the country the payment is made from.
All payments should be made before the first class.
Cancellation / rescheduling policies
You may cancel or reschedule your classes without any cost up to 24 hours before the beginning time by writing to the contact e-mail address. If cancellation is made without a 24-hour prior notice, the class will be charged.
No, the cost for packs of classes is not refundable. This is because my preparatory work starts as soon as the purchase is made.
