If the contents do not much our concerns and goals, if they are too easy or too hard, we get distracted, we lose interest and, maybe, just memorize some loose concepts and then quickly forget them. Have you been there?
In order to optimize your learning, taking into account the method in which your brain learns better, and what attracts and motivates you the most is a key factor. Thus, the concepts are easier to remember, to relate with next ones, they connect with our own reality, acquire meaning, consolidate, and you achieve a long-lasting learning.

Learning is like a game
Think about it this way: as you move forward in the process, you may unblock content and have access to more videos, series, and more complex texts; you may begin to understand songs, ideas, cultures, and establish deeper conversations and, almost without realizing it, you end up mastering the technique, acquiring new skills in order to communicate, overcoming barriers and leveling up.
Of course this is a challenge that requires effort and determination. But isn’t this what it takes to solve a riddle or earn points in any game? That’s what makes it fun!
My name is Mariana; I’m a Spanish native teacher, with more than 15 years of experience
I love learning, but as a student (at school, at teachers college, the Master’s program, and other different courses), I noted that while I learnt the contents and got good grades, I easily also forgot about them or got bored.
For this reason, when I decided to continue learning languages (I speak English, Portuguese and French), I used a different strategy. The results I obtained then were better, faster and long-lasting. Nowadays, I apply the same principle to teach and guide my students.

Do not have a defined schedule?
No problem. As long as I am available during the timetables that are convenient for you, we may adjust the schedule week by week.
You just want to work on a specific skill, such as speaking or writing?
Don’t worry: personalization allows for the design of a plan based on your specific needs, interests and goals.
You prefer no pressures or homework?
There’s no need for you to have them. It’s you the one deciding to learn. Homework may be a good tool to consolidate contents and keep connected with Spanish even outside classes. But, as I mentioned before, this only works if you are motivated. My intention is that Spanish does not become an extra obligation or a burden for you; the idea is that you enjoy it.
You cannot attend classes on a weekly basis?
The ideal is to keep up with the rhythm, with certain regularity or level of connection, but sometimes commitments get in the way, I know. Your regular obligations should not keep you from learning something you like, just because you cannot or prefer not to overload your agenda. There are many ways in which one may achieve progress anyway, and I will teach you how.
